Hakan Konak has been appointed as President, Toyota Boshoku Turkiye, effective from 1 April 2023.

Starting his career at automotive industry at Hyundai, Konak then joined Toyota Boshoku Turkiye in 2001 (then known as “TakaNichi Turkey”) . Having spent over 20 years with the Toyota Boshoku Group, Konak has held several roles from expert to senior management. His experience includes around 2 years in Toyota Boshoku Europe Munich branch as Production Control & Logistics General Manager.

In his current role, which he has held since 2018, Konak is the President of TB Sewtech Turkey (seat cover subsidiary of Toyota Boshoku Turkiye) and Vice President of Toyota Boshoku Turkiye in charge of business and manufacturing management since 2020.

Konak originates from Sakarya Turkiye and he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Istanbul Technical University. Konak also holds a director position in TAYSAD (Association of automotive parts and components manufacturers) since 2020.

He replaces Kato, the company’s 4 years serving President who made an important contribution to its success. He will take up the position of Chairman of Toyota Boshoku Turkiye from 1 April 2023.
